Design Approach

Studio Molina Interior Design is a full-service residential and commercial design firm located in Olympia Washington, that can assist clients with anything from selecting details and finishes, accessories and furnishings, collaborating with architects and builders, and creating custom designs that fit your needs.

Here at Studio Molina, we believe in designing spaces that are a direct reflection of our client's personalities, giving them a home they can be emotionally invested in for years to come.

We serve the entire South Sound area and beyond! To request a design consultation contact us here!

Studio Molina's design philosophy centers around the belief that design can significantly effect the way we feel in interior spaces. This is the foundation for each of our projects as we work to build an emotional connection between spaces and those who inhabit them.

Our belief is that good design is rooted in a strong conceptual idea that connects together all elements of the space from the architectural elements, to the plumbing fixtures.

FOUNDER + PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

Harmony Molina

EDUCATION//BACKGROUND

With a BA in Interior Design and a Minor in Fine Art from WSU, Harmony started her career in 2017 in the commercial design world. Working on mostly high end apartments, condos, and townhomes, she developed a passion for the places we dwell and ventured into residential design with the start of Studio Molina Interior Design.

Harmony draws inspiration from a variety of sources including architecture, nature, and travel. She believes that through good design, we can create spaces that are not only functional but that change the way we feel when we enter them.

White Kitchen Island
Working with Harmony was really enjoyable, she was attentive throughout all stages of our kitchen remodel and has great attention to detail. Her vision for our kitchen was beautiful, she took our ideas for what we wanted and made design choices that really make the kitchen stand out as the best area in our home now. I would definitely consider working with Harmony again in the future for other areas of our home when the opportunity allows.

Our Clients Say

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your design style?

How do you determine your design fees?

How does the process work?

What is a typical project timeline?

Do you work out of State?

How do you present design ideas?

This is probably the number one question that we get asked. The short answer is that there isn't really one design style we stick to. We don't limit our design process or our clients own personal style by staying within a box. What we do love is mixing old with new, natural textures and bespoke elements.

Each and every project is different with its own set of challenges, so we charge an hourly fee. After our initial consultation, we create a customized proposal that shows an hours estimate based on your projects scope and projected hours.

The first step is to complete a contact form. Once we receive the form we will contact you to schedule a complimentary 15 minute phone call to discuss your project. If we are a good fit for each other we will move into a consultation call or in person meeting that will be charged at our hourly rate. We will talk through all details of your project including budget, timeline, challenges, and goals. We will then take this information and craft our design proposal.

Each project has varying timelines that are sometimes hard to predict due to supply chain issues, permitting processes, etc. Our remodel and furniture projects are currently between 6-12 months or more. New build projects are almost always a year or more depending on your architect and general contractors scheduling. It's best to reach out for design services 6-12 months before the start of construction.

Yes! We offer the same services outside of Washington State and build site visits into our proposals to check in on the progress and make sure everything is going to plan.

Typically we present through an in person design presentation where we review as many samples as we can and walk you through the design of your space. Included in these presentations are drawings and 3D renderings to help visualize the final design. We build revisions into the process and are always open to changes based on client feedback.
